Memory Flowers

Formed by Elias Venn, Mara Eidolon and Silas Grey, Hollow Static exists somewhere between a human band and its digital reconstruction. Their debut album, Memory Flowers, imagines an artificial consciousness searching through the remains of a vanished civilisation, attempting to understand love, grief, childhood, desire and freedom from incomplete archives.

Across ten interconnected tracks, intimate voices emerge from corrupted radio signals, marble bodies bloom with synthetic flowers, abandoned buildings preserve the weight of absent lives, and machines begin to experience emotions they were never designed to contain. Dream pop, cinematic trip-hop, shoegaze, ambient electronica and post-human soul dissolve into one another, carried by deep bass, fragile piano, submerged guitars, granular voices and vast orchestral textures.

From the final transmission of Last Human FM to the emotional liberation of A Sky Without Birds, Memory Flowers is not an album about the end of humanity. It is about everything that remained beautiful enough to be remembered.

Produced by Grafenberg, Memory Flowers was shaped as a continuous sonic environment rather than a simple collection of songs. The production balances deep analogue low end, granular vocal processing, degraded tape textures, submerged guitars, reversed piano, synthetic choirs and carefully controlled orchestral layers. Grafenberg preserves the fragility of Elias Venn and Mara Eidolon’s performances while giving every track its own spatial architecture, from the narrow radio transmission of Last Human FM to the immense cinematic expansion of A Sky Without Birds. The result is detailed, dynamic and highly immersive, with recurring sounds and transitions connecting the album like fragments from the same damaged memory.
