Golden hour broadcast

Broken Shaman

Golden Hour Broadcast is Broken Shaman’s tribute to the golden pulse of 90s hip-hop. Built as a warm, dusty and deeply human homage to the spirit of Wu-Tang Clan and Cypress Hill, the album smells like orange bud, sensimilla, sun-heated concrete, worn cassette tapes and speakers pushed too loud at the end of a summer day. This is not nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake. It is a celebration of a distant era that was never truly forgotten. A time before everything became algorithmic. A time when human connection was still the engine of culture. When music travelled through hands, cars, bedrooms, basements, street corners and late-night conversations. When a beat could define a whole afternoon, and a voice on tape could become part of your life forever. Across the album, Broken Shaman reconnects with that energy: boom bap drums, smoky grooves, dusty soul, street wisdom, backyard memories, low rider daydreams, Sunday food, old records, basketball courts, static, sunlight and scars. Golden Hour Broadcast is both inspired by the past and determined to inspire the present. It is a major chapter in the Broken Shaman story: warmer, looser, more human, more alive. An album made for old souls, true heads, survivors, beat lovers and everyone who still believes hip-hop can carry memory, joy, pain and light at the same time. Broken Shaman is proud of this one. Good listening to all lovers of hip-hop.
