Notes
Built on a stunning fusion of cinematic hip-hop, orchestral electronics and deep urban atmosphere, the record feels like wandering through abandoned rooms where voices still echo long after everyone is gone. Massive strings collide with fractured beats, analog textures dissolve into haunting piano lines, while Broken Shaman’s gravel-worn voice moves between confession, spoken fragments and raw emotional collapse.
Every track carries the weight of something unfinished.
The Chair Is Still There opens the album like a ghost sitting in an empty room. Time Leaks Through Hands turns memory itself into dust and broken clocks. Hospital Light captures the cold fluorescent silence of waiting rooms and fading hope. The Weight Doesn’t Move sinks into emotional paralysis and invisible exhaustion. Call That Never Came aches with unresolved absence, while Dust on the Frame feels like touching old photographs that still hurt to hold.
As the album progresses, Broken Shaman moves deeper into emotional territory rarely explored with such honesty. I Carried It Quietly becomes a confession whispered through exhaustion, Before the Silence hangs suspended like the final breath before collapse, and After the Silence closes the record with devastating restraint, leaving only echoes, static and emotional residue behind.
Grafenberg’s production elevates the entire project into something cinematic and immersive. Orchestral swells, ghostly synths, heavy low-end pressure, broken rhythmic structures and subtle electronic pulses create a constantly shifting soundscape balancing intimacy and destruction. The album moves fluidly between orchestral melancholy, deep electronic textures, abstract hip-hop and urban soul, creating a sonic identity that feels timeless and deeply modern at once.
This is not nostalgia. This is emotional archaeology.
Time Leaks Through Hands explores what remains after conversations end, after hospital corridors empty, after memories begin to decay and after people become echoes inside ordinary places. It is a meditation on time, emotional endurance, invisible grief and the quiet scars people carry through everyday life without ever speaking about them.
Ten albums deep, Broken Shaman continues to transform vulnerability into atmosphere, memory into sound and silence into something painfully human.
Heavy. Intimate. Cinematic. Released by Kinetic Distro.
